European Solidarity Corps
Since 2018 Moby Dick ETS is accredited for the European Voluntary Service (EVS) and has obtained the Quality Label for the management, hosting and sending of volunteers from the European Solidarity Corps (ESC).
The European Solidarity Corps is the new initiative of the European Union that offers to young people jobs or volunteering opportunities, in their own country or abroad, as part of projects intended to help communities or populations in Europe.
The staff involved in this activity is made up of members and volunteers with experience gained since 2012 as trainers for the National Youth Agency in the field of European Voluntary Service. The staff includes a coordinator, a tutor and a mentor who takes care of assisting the partners and the volunteers from the phase of obtaining the quality label, to the coordination, management and implementation phase.
With its European network, Moby Dick ETS has collaborated in particular with countries such as Romania, Turkey and Bosnia Herzegovina with the ” Youth4Green ” and ” Being European ” projects.
Local authorities and associations have the opportunity to host volunteers between 18-30 years of age, belonging to the European Solidarity Corps, for a period of 2 weeks up to 1 year. Hosting ESC volunteers means having young people to support specific projects to grow and enrich bodies and organizations from the point of view of European experience and added value. For young people it is an opportunity for personal growth and useful gain kills in their personal and working life, taking the opportunity to live abroad for a period and better understanding the spirit of European citizenship.
