Call for Volunteers – Giffoni Film Festival 2026

Are you between 18 and 30 years old? Are you passionate about cinema and events?

Become a volunteer and support the Giffoni Film Festival team from July 7 to July 27, 2026.

Organized by Moby Dick ETS as part of a European Solidarity Corps volunteering project, this experience is not to be missed!

Volunteers will receive a daily reimbursement allowance.

 

Available Roles

JURY OFFICE

Works closely with a group of jurors and acts as their point of reference throughout all daily activities, supporting them from the beginning to the end of their experience.

Jury Desk Support: manages a front-office desk, providing information, materials, and assistance to jurors and their families.

Communication Support: assists in coordinating activities involving jury members participating in the festival’s storytelling, collaborating with the Giffoni communication office for social media and other media channels.

Jury/Production Liaison: coordinates and accompanies jury members involved in video and television productions, acting as a link between the Jury Office and the Video Production Department.

For the Generator sections, a good knowledge of English is required.

 

VIDEO PRODUCTION DEPARTMENT

The Video Production Department creates the audiovisual storytelling of the Giffoni Film Festival. From filming to post-production, each edition is documented by a team of authors, videomakers, editors, and graphic designers coordinated by the artistic direction.

Volunteers support the team during the different stages of production: filming, editing, audio recording, material management, and archiving. Some roles may require specific skills in using audiovisual production equipment and software. Organizational support roles requiring no advanced technical skills are also available.

Collaborations may involve:

       Organizational and management team

       Authors team

       Video shooting team

       Post-production team

       Archiving team

 

GIFFONI SPORT

Volunteers in the Giffoni Sport team contribute to the organization and management of the special sports section, which hosts events and activities for young people within the Sports Village.

Sports Village Organizational Assistant: supports staff in logistical management, setup, and organization of spaces within the village.

Video Operator: contributes to the production of audiovisual content for Giffoni Sport and requires video editing skills.

Media Partner Support: assists the team in managing media partners, welcoming and coordinating journalists and reporters.

 

GENERAL MANAGEMENT

Volunteers supporting the General Management team assist in coordinating media partners attending the festival and support the General Director and collaborators in drafting, organizing, and managing schedules and activities.

Media Partner Support: welcomes and coordinates journalists and reporters, manages interview schedules, accompanies authors across festival locations, and supports reporting activities.

 

ARTISTIC DIRECTION

Volunteers in the Artistic Direction support the Artistic Director and the team in coordinating cultural activities and discussion events included in the festival program.

Artistic Direction Support: follows the schedule of meetings, screenings, workshops, and juror activities. Participates in Q&A sessions and in-depth discussions related to competition films and festival themes, documenting activities through summaries and reports.

Artistic Direction Secretariat: ensures the flow of information among the different festival areas, supporting internal communication and coordination.

 

COMMUNICATION

The Communication Department manages the storytelling of the festival across all official channels: coordinating relations with journalists and media, handling social media presence, and producing and distributing content during the event.

Volunteers support the department team in:

       Creating textual, photographic, and graphic content

       Managing social and web pages

       Coordinating accredited journalists

       Producing reports about the ongoing edition

 

HOSPITALITY OFFICE

The Hospitality Office manages all logistical aspects related to festival guests: welcome services, accreditation, transfers, and transportation.

Volunteers support the team in front-office activities, assist the desk with badge and material distribution, help prepare guest materials, and coordinate transfers.

 

GIFFONI IMPACT

Giffoni Impact is the festival section dedicated to dialogue between young people and leading figures from politics, cinema, society, and current affairs. It features a rich schedule of meetings and discussions involving an active audience of young participants every day.

Volunteers support the organizational team in participant management and program coordination, ensuring that activities run smoothly and according to schedule.

 

MARKETING OFFICE

The Marketing Department manages relationships with sponsors and festival partners, coordinating projects and activations during the event.

Volunteers support the Marketing Director and the team in operational activities related to partner management and the initiatives included in the festival program.
