“Crisis Management in Youthwork”: The course for young social animators is here

The online course aimed at improving the work of youth workers engaged in the training of young people will be held from 27 November to 4 December 2020.

NaturKultur from Bremen, a partner association of Moby Dick ETS, is promoting the initiative which will involve 36 young trainers from 9 different countries: Czech Republic, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Lithuania, Republic of North Macedonia, Spain and Turkey.

“The youth worker or socio-educational animator – as emphasized on the website of the ANG – is an agent, professional or volunteer who facilitates learning and personal and social development of young people. As a result, they become autonomous and responsible citizens through active participation in the decision-making processes and inclusion in their communities”.

However, as in everything, the organizers themselves can encounter moments of “crisis” and the project focuses on this aspect. The initiative, in fact, aims to provide the right support to face difficult moments in order to avoid the physical and mental stress that can lead to professional “burnout” and abandonment of the project. The keyword, therefore, is “resilience” and we at Moby Dick ETS, always active in the field of training and dissemination of sociability among young people, are proud to be able to contribute by providing our support.

To apply, below is the required profile:
– Youth workers and youth animators involved on a daily basis in work activities with young people, interested in improving their crisis management skills.
– Age: at least 18 years old.
– Fluent English.

Here is an example of how the course will be carried out:
